Packaging Tape for Every Industrial Application

Carton sealing tape, masking tape, duct tape, filament tape, water-activated tape, and more — over 1,900 tape SKUs always in stock.

The right packaging tape is critical for secure shipments, clean masking, and reliable sealing across all industrial and warehouse applications. Material Handling USA stocks the most complete selection of industrial tapes available, from everyday carton sealing tape to specialty heat-resistant and anti-static tapes.

Our carton sealing tape selection includes standard acrylic, hot melt, and natural rubber adhesive tapes in widths from 1.5" to 3" and lengths from 55 to 1,000 yards per roll. Choose from clear, tan, colored, and printed "fragile" or "this side up" tapes.

Beyond carton sealing, we carry masking tape for painting and surface protection, duct tape for heavy-duty repairs, filament strapping tape for bundling, water-activated (gummed) kraft tape for tamper-evident sealing, foam mounting tape, and electrical tape.

All tapes are sold by the roll or by the case for maximum value. We stock brands including 3M, Scotch, Tape Logic, and Intertape. Volume discounts are available — request a quote for pallet pricing.

Frequently Asked Questions

What type of tape is best for sealing cardboard boxes?

For most shipping applications, 2" wide acrylic carton sealing tape (2.0–2.5 mil) is ideal. For heavier boxes or cold/freezer storage, use hot melt or natural rubber adhesive tape. Water-activated kraft tape provides the strongest, tamper-evident seal for high-value shipments.

How many rolls of tape do I need per day?

A standard 55-yard roll of 2" carton sealing tape seals approximately 25–30 medium-sized boxes using the H-tape method. For high-volume operations, consider switching to 110-yard or 1,000-yard rolls to minimize changeovers.

Do you sell tape in case quantities?

Yes — cases typically contain 36 rolls for 2" tape. We also offer pallet pricing for high-volume buyers. Contact us at (800) 326-4403 for custom pricing.

What's the difference between acrylic and hot melt tape?

Acrylic tape performs well across a wide temperature range (-10°F to 140°F), has excellent aging resistance, and is quieter to apply. Hot melt tape offers stronger initial tack and sticks better to recycled content boxes and dusty surfaces, making it preferred for high-speed automated packaging lines.
