Stretch Wrap & Pallet Covers

Stretch wrap is the most cost-effective and fastest way to unitize pallet loads for safe storage and transport. A properly wrapped load resists shifting, protects against moisture, dust, and concealment, and dramatically reduces damage claims.

Our assortment covers every method: manual hand wrapping, semi-automatic turntables, high-speed rotary arm and ring machines, and portable robotic wrappers. Choose standard 80-gauge, heavy 100–120 gauge, or economical high-performance pre-stretched films.

We carry cast and blown films. Cast is quieter, clearer, with good cling. Blown film offers superior puncture resistance and load retention — preferred for rough loads or outdoor exposure.

Specialty films solve real-world problems: black opaque for security and light shielding; VCI (volatile corrosion inhibitor) for metal parts; anti-static for electronics; colored for quick sortation and department identification.

Pallet top sheets, gusseted bin liners, and colored stretch bands complete the protection system. Bundled pallet quantities and full truckloads receive the most aggressive pricing.

Why Businesses Choose Our Stretch Wrap

Best For

Stretch Wrap are an ideal solution for these customers and applications.

Shipping & Logistics Managers

The problem: Need to unitize pallet loads for stable, damage-free transit without adding excessive weight

The solution: 80–120 gauge stretch film in hand or machine format secures loads while adding negligible weight

Warehouse & Fulfillment Operations

The problem: High-volume wrapping needs faster throughput and lower cost per pallet than manual hand wrapping

The solution: 20" machine rolls with automated wrappers reduce film usage 30–50% and wrapping time 3–5x

Manufacturing Facilities

The problem: Products with sharp edges or heavy components puncture standard film during wrapping and transit

The solution: Blown film and 100–120 gauge heavy-duty wraps resist punctures and provide superior load retention

Metal Fabrication & Export Shippers

The problem: Metal parts and equipment rust during storage or ocean transit due to moisture exposure

The solution: VCI (vapor corrosion inhibitor) stretch film prevents rust without greases or desiccants, lasting up to 12 months

How to Choose the Right Stretch Wrap

Calculate film consumption: a typical 48×40 pallet uses approximately 10–14 ounces of 80 gauge film when wrapped manually.

For high-volume operations a 20" machine roll on 3" core is dramatically more economical than hand film.

Pre-stretch film is thinner but already elongated — it applies less force yet holds better. Preferred when product crush is a concern.

Always wrap the pallet base 3–4 times (the "rope") before working upward. This attaches the load to the pallet and is the most critical part.

Frequently Asked Questions

What gauge stretch wrap should I use?

Standard hand stretch film is 80 gauge (0.80 mil) — suitable for most pallets under 2,500 lbs. For heavier or irregular loads, use 90–120 gauge. Pre-stretch film is thinner (47–60 gauge) but pre-elongated, offering excellent strength at lower cost-per-pallet.

How many wraps of stretch film does a pallet need?

A standard pallet typically needs 3–5 wraps at the base (for the rope effect and pallet attachment) and 2–3 overlapping wraps up the sides. Heavy or unstable loads may need 5–7 total wraps. Always start at the pallet base and work up, overlapping by 50%.

What's the difference between hand stretch wrap and machine stretch wrap?

Hand stretch wrap is applied manually — rolls typically are 18" wide and have extended cores or hand grips. Machine stretch wrap is applied by automated stretch wrap equipment — rolls are 20" wide, 1,500 feet long, and have a 3" core. Machine application is 3–5x faster than hand wrapping for high-volume operations.

Do you carry pallet covers?

Yes — we stock clear and black pallet covers in standard pallet sizes as well as gusseted bin liners. Pallet covers protect against dust, moisture, and UV exposure for outdoor storage.

What is pre-stretch stretch film and why would I use it?

Pre-stretch film is mechanically stretched at the factory before the roll is wound. Applying less tension on the load while still providing excellent holding force, it reduces film consumption and the risk of crushing lighter products. Excellent cost-savings for high-volume shippers.
