New law: U.S. workplaces must provide lactation space.
As of June of 2023, employers with 15 or more employees are required by the PUMP Act to provide reasonable break time and space for nursing mothers for up to a year after the birth of their child. Under this new law, the space allotted for nursing mothers must be shielded and free from intrusion. The location must be somewhere other than a bathroom.
