Vidir Print Cylinder Carousel
We offer a print cylinder carousel system called Vidir Print. This system organizes and stores printing plates, sleeves, blankets, and other printing materials and makes them available for use in printing presses quickly and efficiently. It is specifically designed for the printing industry and can safely store up to seven printing cylinders and plates. It is extremely durable, safe, and has a maximum capacity of up to 650kg (1430 lb. ), making it an ideal choice for printing presses with an ever-increasing workload. It also has a sophisticated tracking system which allows for easy tracking and identification of printing materials. Furthermore, its modular design ensures that it can easily fit into any existing printing production layout.
History of print cylinders
The first print cylinders were created in the 18th century by Johann Gutenberg. He used an oil-based ink and a cylinder press to produce the first type of printing known as letterpress. The cylinder kept the ink and the paper firmly in place, allowing sheets of paper to be printed quickly. The development of the steam engine in the early 19th century made printing even more efficient. This allowed for the production of large volumes of prints at a rapid pace, with the help of a cylinder press.
As printing processes became more automatic, print cylinders became further improved and specialized, allowing for a wider range of tones and shades to be printed onto different kinds of paper. With the invention of computer-based technologies, print cylinders have become even more advanced. The use of laser technology and digital presses has allowed for higher levels of accuracy and improved design options, while modern cylinders are able to produce better and more consistent results. Although the print cylinder has changed drastically over the past two centuries, it still remains an integral part of modern printing operations.
