SpaceGuard RageWire

Spaceguard. Our our opportunity here to share with you our new product and brand require in the word wrage means robotic automation. Gardening evolved. And. We’re excited that we’ve come out with this new product that at the promo show this year and as a new brand for us, it it allows us to expand our existing machine guarding option we’ve used for Logan in beast wire in the past. And we will and and still will use those two brands in the future where the applications require a more durable, robust machine gardening product. Where Ray Dwyer now allows us to compete with the floating guards, the troll axes, the wire way, husky products that come with unframed mesh post panel design, simple gauze, things of that nature. So we have this competitive product to to support you and our dealer network in this environment. So with that, we’ll kind of go through this this presentation and pages gives you the structure. Some of the basic details of the product to help you understand it will go through some of the whys of what we’re doing. And how things go together and.

Spaceguard Razor wire is designed to go around robotic, guarding any type of machinery and in big machines, small machines can see routing machines to basically keep people away from the machinery.

It’s not to secure. Product or things, that it’s just a physical barrier. So when we came up with it, we used the RIAA a robotic guarding requirements as a foundation to be able to do that. When you’re worried about more of a physical barrier structure security, that’s where the Fort Logan and the Beast wire come in, come into play. So on this slide, it gives the fundamental structure of our panel system in order to give it rigidity. We’ve gone with an eight a gauge welded wire. With a one and a quarter by four inch vertical rectangle dimentia. What’s nice about this size opening is it allows our our mesh panel to go within 17 and a half inches of the robotic or the machine parts, as is, because the opening size is smaller than some of our competitors.

SpaceGuard So part of the requirement on how close you can get to.

The machining equipment, a robotic equipment, is your opening size, the larger it is, the further away has to be. Now, I can’t prevent knives in small objects from coming through, but that’s part of the assessment when you’re working with your customer to determine what type of moving or flying parts or it could be pieces of shredded metal that are coming off of a machine that’s going on to a part, whatever the case may be. Structurally, all of our color combination will be standard yellow post, black mesh. And Eddie, Eddie wants to use the word that’s our Ford Model T, that’s what it comes with. If they want different colored posts, different colored mesh, none of that will be held in stock and it will have a lot longer lead time. We also have multiple V bends in the mesh to create the durability and the rigidity that we need in the structure of the mesh. We’ll get into how many of those V bends you’ll have in each panel type here in a little bit. So in this, we have once we have three size mesh. The width for all three sizes is five feet. It’s either six, seven or eight foot tall. And if the field require smaller sized panel, they will physically cut the mesh down in the field.

Touch up the edges, paint it with the spray can if they wish, and mount it to the.

To the post system in the brackets, which we’ll get into a little bit, but unlike our other products where we’ll make standard or special panels for you. These are the three panel sizes that that we offer in any modification to put an opening in it for a conveyor or light switches or something of that matter, controls will be cut in the field by the installer. We are using our beast wire, two inch by two inch square post. It will either come with a two by seven or four by seven baseplate, similar to be Swier. And when we have a four by seven baseplate, the traditional stock item will be, as you see in this picture, centered in the middle. If we have to do a special custom baseplate, we can do that as well. Like I had mentioned, standard color is yellow, the the Post 29th will be six to seven to eight to and and again, if additional things need to be attached, you have the flexibility to to drill and tap and in bold or text glued to the post. But again, the whole the whole pattern and everything else is going to be set up on the standard be Swier post designed.

So in the event that you’re interconnecting, a rage wire system with a beast wire is as long as your post high through the same, everything else should match up fine for you.

With that, with the post, we will supply the the wedge anchors for you and.

That way, your installers will have that if there’s something different, if you’re mounting this on our grade or things of that nature, the material you’ll need to to connect to that would be supplied by by your installer. So with this. One of the things that we are going to have as a is a standard offering for us is what we call a pivot post so that any corner, instead of having two independent separated posts, we’re going to have a pivot post system where we have the hinges on it, which are removable if needed, and allow you to rotate that corner almost a full 90 degrees or a forty five degree or 60 degree angle to give you that flexibility when you’re going around different machines or. Pipe bollards or building columns or other obstructions in the way or conveyor or whatever the case may be. So what’s really nice about that is, you know, it’s attached. It’s easy to to make changes and pull it apart and put it back together. So like everything with the robotic guarding requirement. You need a tool to attach. Our horseshoe shaped brackets to our post.

So with that, you have the horseshoe shape here.

You had the side view you. Pattern with the cutout in it. It allows you to to easily drop the panels and so in this picture here on the bottom left, we have a left, a full bracket in a in a right half bracket, and I’ll get into that a little bit. But the majority of everything you’re going to receive is a full sized bracket. It’ll look like this. It’ll come with our standard five 16 inch hardware that will allow you from the end to attack. Catch the ball through the post and connect it. And then, as you can see, you can drop the wire down over the over the U. Shape cutouts and then with a tool and Allen wrench, you’ll be able to. Tighten the thread and screw into the back side of the bracket. If you want to remove the panel or gain access, you use the Allen screw to back that out in the in that screw is designed to stay attached to the bracket by code, by design to meet that code so that if you break that off, you can lose the screw, but you physically have to break in. It’s kind of hard to see. But there’s a gold piece right here and this is actually attached to it. You’d actually have to physically cut it in order to get the thread threaded screw out of the out of the bracket itself.

All that will come preassembled at the factory.

So all you have to do is grab the bracket, grab the five 16 inch Karaj Boulder nut and attach it in the way you go. So here we give you three different elevation views of of the cage system. So, again, we have the eight foot, seven foot and six foot high. Each one is going to come with a four inch sweep by design. Instead of like in beast wire, it’s two inch sweep in for Logan, it’s three and a quarter sweep, but on razor wire, it’ll give you a four inch sweep. If you need something different, you would call and ask and we would work with you what options we would have available. So with this, some important things to note. And I’ll start with the eight foot panel on an on an eight foot panel. You’re going to get four brackets per side to attach the mesh to. And you can see. Is a general rule, the orientation on the side view of where that’s going to be. And you can see the orientation of how many vans we have in the eight foot, seven foot and eight foot or six foot tall mesh to give it its rigidity. So. The important thing is by design, you’re going to have that many brackets for the eight foot, by design, for the seven foot tall material, you’re going to have three brackets per side.

And on the six foot tall system, you’re going to have three brackets as well.

Additional brackets are required or wanted, let us know at time of quotes so that we can appropriately add that count into the to the pricing of the project. So from an easy configuration. The way that the bracket is mounted to the post, you can see in this view as it goes through so. It’s easy, you can hang the right in the top right and left bracket in the top hole. Bring over the mesh panel, hang it, and then take us to your brackets if you wish, and start attaching them to the post and connecting it to the mesh. It’s. The field installation is simple and easy for you, your end user, their apartments installer to to be able to install, and it’s easy to, again, make it easy to remove the panels to access for maintenance, repair, moving in and out of parts and things of that nature. ByDesign Ray Dwyer has the very simple swing and slide door selection. Off of some research and in talking to dealers and integrators, we’re offering a four by seven swing door. And we’re offering a five by seven slide door. With that, it’s it comes standard with a padlock has. Or we have and we’ll get into the fortress interlocks. We offer three interlocking fortress options if something else needs to be required.

We will talk that through and it will be a special order.

So with that, one of the things that and this is intentional that we’re doing is we are using our beast wire lock or I’ll draw. Which gives you a four sided frame that the door’s pretty welded to the hinges are. So you could technically flip this door upside down to make it a left wing or right swing because it’s already attached like our our tenant storage lockers. But what that means is you’re going to have. This one and a quarter angle at the bottom that you physically have to step over. In the event that you don’t want that there, it’ll be upon the installer to take a sawzall or a hacksaw and actually cut that bottom angle. But the reason we have to and we want to have to and want to ship this in the foresighted frame and not have that precut out for you is that when we ship that out in the foresighted frame, it gives it the rigidity and structure. So it doesn’t want to bend and flex during shipment because it has four sides. So on slide doors, we like I mentioned, it’s a four by four or five by seven slide door. If something different is is required on our on our door systems for both the swing or the slide, what we do is use our beast wire daubs.

With interlock electric strikes and magalog options, and we will integrate beast wire door system into the range wire cage system.

To give us the flexibility to do those specials when you and your customer need it. The mesh on the door will look similar. But it’ll be a tad bit different just because of the some of the structure of the beast wire doors versus the the razor wire doors. But for all intents and purposes, you really won’t notice the difference. So like I mentioned a few minutes ago, we have two simple door lock options and Meraj wire a padlock hasp the standard with a handle, and then we have the fortress kit interlock system. We’ve settled on fortresses, manufacturing, assembling most of this in Erlanger, Kentucky, by the Cincinnati Greater International Airport. It’s within two hours of our factory, and if we have to drop ship directly from there, we’re in a position to do that anywhere in the country. So with that on our Slider’s, we have the same thing, padlock has been a fortress interlock. What we’re showing you here is the the door the slide door receiver that’s mounted to the side of the post. So in this situation, if we have to have this at a corner or the line, you’ll have an additional new post put to the outside of the receiver to start the next panel option.

From a connection perspective.

We are also offering we’re needed an adjustable header for the door systems. If if you need to be able to remove a TransAm panel or something like that, we can create this false TransAm header so that if you have to have an overhead crane to bring parts through or in or out for the machine, turn over and changes. We can create this opening for you with this option. So this will be used on a select use based on her application. So, as we mentioned, what we’re trying to show you here is we can integrate our standard rage wire doorstop items, and if you have to have a special door system, we can in beast wire or if there are electric curtains or other devices that would rather integrate into the system, those electric curtains can be easily mounted to our best post to provide that access and security and safety. Should that light curtain be broken? So, again, one thing I’d like to point out. On on this drawing. Is. The hinge corner system is we show you here. In order to give you the appropriate panel to post connection at the corners, so visually and structurally, that is a that is a difference between razor wire and beast. Again, this slide is just to help you show the integration of the slide door, swing door, the brackets, the corner post, things of that nature here for you.

So, as I mentioned, we’re using fortress interlocks and we’re using the Tigard model and we have three options with the handles that you see here.

So the basic model, the basic functioning simple interlock with a handle. It’s a power to killed, so as soon as you open the door, the machine is going to shut down. The second has a celluloid option to it for power to lock or power to unlock if depending if that requirement is is needed by the customer. And the third type would be the power to lock or unlock, but it will actually have a red push button for if you’re inside as a maintenance person or somebody else in a god-forsaken, does the lock out take out not realizing there’s somebody in the area, the machinery, you can actually hit that button. It’ll kill the system, allow you to exit. And again, if if special, other types of brands or interlocks are required, we would work with you on a one on one basis to try to accommodate the best we can at this point in time at the launch of the product. If it’s not going to be a fortress style analog, we would put the responsibility of the interlock integration to the doors on the entire. So. One of the things that we’re learning on the robotic side is ask the questions and we’re going to be working on a on a list of questions to ask, but for a risk assessment.

So most of the time, your customers are already going to know what they’re going to require.

But what we’re finding and what we’ve learned through our researches and the two hundred thousand dollars for the machine, a chunk of money for the robot, and they forget the order, the machine guarding because they have a twenty two week lead time or a 50 week lead time for the machinery. And typically the mesh. Robotic gardening is his last minute. And. As a result of that, sometimes they wait so long in the system where they they forget and have to order once everything is on site and being installed, so. Understanding what list of questions to ask, what type of machinery it’s going around, things of that nature, like I said, that’s another document that we’re going to look to complete an offer for everybody. And then when we get to the doors, like I mentioned, we have two types, we got a swing door, slide door. We can do specials which will go back into a beast wire type door system. And then with the interlock, the next two slides, just talk about it. It’s a linear chart to. For a hinged or do you have a basic solenoid lock? If so, this is the model number. Here’s the connection point. If the if you need a cell Noyd, here’s the internal information with a part number.

And if you don’t, it just these are questions that we’ll put together to make it easy to know what we got to supply.

Again, similar chart for the slide door. So with that, that’s the basic outline of what we are, what we have to offer. Again, this will all be set up for us and a quick ship program from Seymour, Indiana, where we have the mesh painted in black only yellow post only for quick ship along with the black brackets. And we’re going to have a host of these doors in for both swing and slide. And right now. Lay orders will have the interlocks probably direct ship from Fortress interlocked from the Erlanger, Kentucky facility that they have out there by the airport. So. With that excited about rounding out our product offerings for you, we’re excited about what the razor wire line can do to open up doors to our dealer network, and if it’s heavier duty and more security has to be part of the system, we can use beast wire for Logan as machine guarding as we have in the past. But that’s probably going to be 10 to five percent of the orders were. 90 percent will be in the razor wire product line. So that is their. Anybody have a question for me at this point in time or. I’ll be happy to engage in dialogue and. Talk to any questions.

Sir, I’m sorry, is there like a budget cost per foot for Wrage Wire that if somebody Just sort of asking the question About what that might cost, that we could use A. We’re not there yet.

We’re part of that is our amental, when we do our Caijing, everybody will say, hey, what’s your LENNEAR price per foot? And we say, hey, it’s based on how many doors, types of doors and in or locks, that kind of. Impact that price, we know we’re going to have to move to that Lennier price, so eventually we’re going to have some generic numbers. The only thing that will change that will be are you using our standard door swing or slide. And obviously, those are two different prices with or without the interlock. And then if you have to go custom doors using the beast wire, then that’s going to throw off or increase pricing on on that particular application. So. Eddie’s working through that pricing structure right now, and we’ll have a better answer for you, Ken, and probably next Friday.

Ok, Ray, when you compare rage wire to, let’s say, one of your heavier products, what are you coming in at? Is like twenty five percent lower to do a wrap around a machine.

Give or take the analysis, it’s probably to that sometime because you don’t have all the frame panels and you don’t have the intricacy of the doors. So one of the things we’ll do is when Eddie finalizes the pricing here, we’ll put up a cheat sheet. Because it’ll be a nice comparison if if you’re doing this in beast wire, structural frame panels and things versus wrage wire, here’s the difference in cost. If you’re looking for a true Cadillac for. Basically bear separation plus safety and security, here’s the beast wire price. If you’re looking just for a simple barrier wrage wire, here’s here’s your price price point.

I have something to add, if you don’t mind. OK, if nobody else has a question.

So I’m Sandy from Spaceguard rakugo back to. The slide that shows are the clips in the panels. I may have missed it, that maybe already covered this or not, I’m not sure. Going. You’re going. That there’s a quote right there that’s good. I’m not go back to the one you were just at. That one. So the difference when you’re looking in are there are competitors out in the industry, but if you notice. On pretty much any of our competitors that you can remove the panel by standing outside the enclosure and that’s actually against. The RIAA are RIAA standards with ours, you see where the Ellen Boltz are facing that’s actually facing in towards a robot. So if you’re standing so the post actually sits outside of the cage or outside of the mesh. So if you’re standing outside the enclosure, you cannot remove any of these panels by standing from standing outside. You have to get inside the cage to remove those. And that’s by the standards. You notice anybody else in the industry, they’ve completely ignored that standard and we follow it. So that’s very important. So you think about all those enclosures out there. There are a good number of them out there in use right now that don’t conform. That standard is becoming more and more important in this industry. Recently.

So to Sandy’s point, one of the things that it would be incumbent on the dealer is if you’re using your people to install it, that they pay attention to the instructions in that the mesh is on the side of the machine, as Sandy had pointed out, versus on the outside.

Because of that access, so by design, by that code, you have to open the door, all the machinery be turned off the lock out tag out before you get in there to to the panels to do whatever work that’s necessary. Replacement parts make general preventive maintenance or moving docks or things like that in and out. The and I forgot to mention this, but the left and the right bracket, what we did was we took the full bracket, cut it in half and where we have. Post a post at a door or a gate, instead of having to monkey with a full bracket where you have a ference, the half bracket still allows you to mount properly and securely, but it doesn’t cause that interference with the other post. So there’s some flexibility there and that would be put it laid out in our Google drawing and in construction drawing for the installer.

So that you know where the half brackets are going to be located in that particular system.

In the event that they needed to retrofit something in the field, you could actually they could actually cut one of these brackets in half on their own if they needed to modify something. Using the half bracket designed. So, again, to something Sandy said, and I think I did mention I hope I did earlier, you actually buy it and you can either hand and type this or truly tighten it down with an Alan Allen screw. So that way, it meets the machining requirement of needing a tool to to remove a connection point to remove the panel. Again, simple design pose panel pose panel Dawngate. Whatever the case may be, for the most part, unless you have a complicated door system, literally two individuals can put this system up quite quickly and easily without a lot of heavy weight. Your its weight is going to be your door or a post.

Well, there’s no more questions, anyone else got something? Right, do you do anything as far as a curved panel, if needed, or is there any type of flexibility in that? If it is, I mean, if it had to be, is it easily curved?

It’s not with the egg cage is not I mean, you can bend it, you would have to take a pipe or take a four by four or two by four to kind of give the bend that you would need a misdirection to accomplish with the hinge. Design at the corners is looking for some of that flexibility, hopefully. That gives it to you to give you that rotation in orientation,In which direction do you want to bend it or talking? No, no, it’s just it’s just a hypothetical. Well, I mean, you couldn’t really you couldn’t bend it in the left-to-right dimension, as you’re looking at, because the V shape, that’s impossible. The only way is vertically in the other direction. You could Kolan, I got you. And I guess with the different size panels, you can just use smaller panels and create that almost like that rounded. Anyway, right right Now, those posts, I mean, work really well, you just order a couple of hints post, you could go around pretty much any obstacle, Right? It’s infinite, right. Where you can as the angles.

It’ll close up to 90 and almost to one hundred eighty, I think it’s it’s very close to one hundred eighty.

Yeah, nice. And in your experience, the clients pretty much know how far away all this wire is supposed to be from the machines. Yeah, because of. What they have to do to to meet their OSHA compliancy, they’re they’re pretty knowledgeable about the distance that they want. It’s something that we on the sales side need to and want to ask each and every time just for clarity, if they want to, you know, attach Plexiglas to it or something else like windscreen. Other things like that, either as a visual barrier or additional barrier to prevent smaller things. Note that up front so that it can be addressed and and taken care of. What we’re also learning, too, is a lot of times as the machine shop or their areas change this stuff, it’s moved around quite a bit within the operation as a result of the flexibility of the machine guarding. You know, you you can reuse pretty much all all the material unless you cut outs in a panel and then you have openings where you don’t want them. If you relocate it, then all you’re doing is buying a few mesh poles and having it shipped. So.

It seems that that bracket you have the left, right and the center.

That bracket seems very versatile as far as, you know, just interchanging with, say, a welding shield or like you just said, Plexiglas. It seems like you can almost attach. Directly on that or right over it, right? Using that same bracket. In theory, you can. The only thing that you may have trouble with is when you when you take that I’m off the set screw that creates the barrier above the wire, the wire mesh resting on the bracket. Right, if you if you pop a hole in the Plexiglas, they hang it on on our bracket and it’ll hold it, it just no matter how you’re going to get that set, screw through through there to lock it in place so that that candle cannot be lifted off in the middle of operation to create an unsafe situation right now.

Those saddles, it’s hard to see from here, but you’re right, the saddles do project out far enough where they they would actually serve as a ledge for four Plexiglas.

And if you were to use the set screw to just go up against the Plexiglas, what I would recommend is you can’t really use a washer but a little flat plate or something to spread out the load. So you don’t you don’t want a pressure point there necessarily, but it’ll spread out the load that way. But you can actually you could actually do that. We we hadn’t thought of that. That’s amazing.

Now, I was just thinking of the welding shields there. It’s almost like a mirror.

There are yellow. You know, it just can go right. Those shields can maybe if this bracket was a little bit longer, had a hook on it, you may want to think about something or to attach something on top above that this cage, because you have another two inches or so, it looks like in this photograph, is to create a similar type bracket. So you had some a uniform bracket, but just a little bit longer away from the Z, and then you could hang that curtain as well. And you’ll have the security of of the rage, while

Quite possibly could change the bracket a little tough, I mean, by the thousands.

But what you probably could do is maybe either pre draw the face of that right below where the saddle is. If you want to mount it to those little faces there, either pre drawn, you’re not going to tell skirt because you really can’t screw through a piece of Oleksander or it would shatter. But if you draw everything, you certainly could just fascinated to the face of that, if it lands below the. Because the robotics are also welding a lot of times as well. So, yeah, interesting,to your specifications, then point out that your bracket is made with the farseeing devices on the inside to meet the codes as opposed to others. I mean, how do you. Is this something everyone knows or is supposed to know or is it a selling point, I guess?

It’s the manufacturer we we all know it, it’s I think what ends up happening is the.

At time of installation, the people who install it, whether it be the end user or the contractor or whoever makes it, they install it the easy way for them. And. I think that’s I think that’s the big piece of it, technically, ours could be installed incorrectly where like this picture that I’m showing you, where the screw and everything should be on the inside closest to the machinery, in theory, they could flip it the other way in and have that that situation. So it comes down to. Who installs it and do they install it correctly? I can I can kind of answer that a little bit, too. If you do some research and check Vlachos or Truax, you’ll notice that the other literature shows it mounted so that their panels are removable from the outside. So just based on the way they advertise it.

So from what I’ve seen, I have not seen any of our competitors make that statement.

And that is definitely a selling point for us. And we still have yet to finish our improved literature on this. But that’ll be something that we’ll be calling out on that, because that’s a that’s a huge competitive point. And I think we’ll get a lot of people’s attention who have existing systems to re-evaluate, re-evaluate what they have. One of the things that we’ve had some questions on since PROMACTA is will you cut down the the mesh panels at the factory so I don’t have to do it in the field right now. The answer is no, and we’re we’re doing that because the ease of doing this in the field to cut it to the dimensions you need, you’re better off doing it in the field. Because if if. Like doing special panel, sometimes I’m working with John and his installer and we do the pre install approval process and we think we got it right and then.

It’s new construction or something changes it, get there, and they spent money for a custom panel and now they still have to cut it down in the field, help it and things of that nature.

So either with wire snippers or a grinder, it’s easy to zip, zip these and cut them size. One thing that I think I’d like to recommend to everybody would be if if you if you’re worried about cut outs or cutting panels down. Ordering a few extra five foot wide by whatever high panels you need to have at your convenience, should it get cut wrong or something change in the field, it’s pretty inexpensive. And actually it’s easy to put it in the back of your van or truck bed or whatever to take back to your to your small warehouse or whatever the case may be. So that for for down the road, should you need a piece or two. I know that’s not always practical, but it’s a recommendation that we put out there for for our team to consider.
